I’m Baaaack! Emmett Won POV and… stuff.

So, I’m alive and lotsa’ shit went down when I was sick. From pedicures and flip-outs (and make-outs – spin the bottle, anyone?), to double evictions and blindsides. Both Tom and Liza are gone – partying it up in TO with Kat and Aneal, and I’m sure, getting tanned. Both I liked, and I’ll admit the house is more boring without them. Sadly, it all came down to playing too hard, too fast. Tom did tend to play emotionally, stuck on Sue since she nominated him night one, and Liza… She talked too much to too many people. It was inevitable that stories would be compared, and she would suffer for it.

Now, for this week – We all saw Alec give HOH to Andrew in the double eviction HOH, and it turned out to be a smart move for him. Not only did he win HOH the next day, but he also got 10K and a video message from his mom in the deal. Andrew however got royally fucked. No letter, no pictures, no perks whatsoever. Really, BBC?? He did the work, but got nothing for it. Not. Cool.

Now Alec went from being a Have-Not for three weeks (poor boy) to the penthouse suite and holding the power. It`s nice to see him not starve.  He nominated Suzette and the reliable pawn AJ. On the block together yet again, Suzette knew her days were numbered if she didn’t win POV.

Alas, Emmett was playing against her, so she had no chance. Winning yet another competition, Emmett won Veto and decided to not use it. No surprise there. He had planned to go off on Suzette during the ceremony, so we’ll have to see if he did or not on the episode Wednesday. I hope he did. I need a good laugh.

Sh!t Went Down. Gary is the new HOH. Emmett, a HN. What a Day…

Note from Jayde:

If you haven’t noticed, I blog like I talk. I ramble; I get distracted (but finish the thought, usually), am a bit random and may rant a little bit more than the average person. But as I just realized I could do that, I’m just going with the flow. It’s fun. I hope you enjoy the ride.

I have my own opinions, but I don’t mind if you don’t agree. We all love this crazy game called Big Brother and I plan to enjoy every moment of my countries first season with everybody. And I’m actually getting in to twitter. It’s awesome.

Let us begin….

Ladies and Gentlemen, hold on to your hats, ‘cause shit got real in the BB Canada house. Last night, Emmett fans were ecstatic at his win, but when fans, (Big Brother Canada Insider’s Brendan Cooney and his Mom) caught and tweeted (and retweeted) Emmet carrying at least one of his final balls in his hand, things escalated online quickly. After Emmet was caught yellow-ball handed, Twitter was set ablaze with #BBCAN, HOH and #EmmettCheated was trending in Canada.

Big Brother Canada soon sent out this short message:

Thanks to everyone for their comments about tonight’s HOH competition. We are looking in to this further and will have more information soon.”

Then in the morning – after Emmett got his HOH room, read his letter aloud (apparently, Mama Blois snuck in some game hints, and even said she loved Gary), drank his alcohol, ate some goodies and slept alone in the HOH bed – everything changed.

The Feeds were cut not soon after people were awake (I heard, specifically after Alec, thinking there were no repercussions of Emmett’s admitted cheating, said he would go in to every competition trying to find the most ways to cheat). BBC soon said the following:

Magic Missed – Avoiding ‘Real Live’

Well it was certainly an eventful night in the BBC House, starting with the ‘Live’ Eviction show where Kat was voted off.

Of course, by the time we were watching that, the free feeds had already spilled the beans on the liveness of the leaked the already in progress HOH Endurance Lumber Jack & Jill -eventually won by Jillian.
Now let me explain to everybody not quite in the know  about some of the magic of Big Brother – perhaps Slice & Insight, though they’re really doing a good job overall.
When a Live Eviction goes down, the magic of BB is the fact that as soon as the show ends on TV, the feeds come back with the immediate aftermath. People wandering the house in shock of a twist/surprise vote/new HOH… Or in the best feeds…… Endurance  Competitions.
It’s no secret the most looked forward to feeds of the Big Brother  season are the endurance competitions – seeing some house guests  drop like flies and witness the steely determination of others. Not to mention the jokes, ribbing, deal making and being able to witness the relationships of the people clearly shift as a winner gets closer.
What happened last night was a missed opportunity not only for the fans who have been looking forward to this for years, but for Slice & Insight as well. They could have (with some scheduling changes & not avoiding ‘Real Live’) made us Canadians proud to watch our houseguests, who we live vicariously through during the seasons, play the game.
Instead, it was a misstep on the part of “Production” & a disappointment to fans across the world who didn’t get to enjoy Big Brother Canada at its fullest.
I, for one, know that better can be done by us, and I am sure that after a few bumps in the road for all of us, Big Brother Canada will succeed in being one hell of an epic ride.

Lights. Camera. 3. . . 2. . . 1. . .

With only hours until the premiere this BBCanada fan is too excited for words. The Feed page at www.bigbrothercanada.slice.ca is up and looking great, and will be LIVE after the episode ends BBC time. ::crosses fingers::

I may also be still Misted from my conversation yesterday with the one and only Dan Gheesling (One of the Greatest-Freaking-Moments-of-My-Life) in Toronto at the SLOP TRUCK!  Yes, an actual food truck serving authentic Big Brother Canada Slop. It’s not the exact same as the BBUS series, but I’ve been assured that the taste is dead on. There’s an App for that – or a really expensive food taster who recreated it especially for us.

The slop was available with three different toppings, of which I tried two. Saying no to hot sauce, I opted for the classic maple syrup and one with chocolate chips. Feeling brave, I avoided the chocolate chips in favor of a spoonful of plain slop. Really shouldn’t have done that. The moment I put the cold gelatinous glop in my mouth – ::shudders:: I don’t want to think about it. It wasn’t good.

The maple syrup saved my life (stomach, actually) since it was in a puddle on the top of the other Cup-O’-Slop, I quickly scooped it up (along with more slop granules I would later find in my teeth) to wash the heavy mineral/oat/gritty/chalky-ness out of my mouth. It went down and stayed, thank goodness. Then I made my cameraman (BB Loving Father) try it, too. After a truly beautiful look of disgust (that only a daughter can truly enjoy) he choked out “It didn’t taste like chicken.”

There’s a lot more to come today, and in the next 10 weeks, so keep an eye out for coverage here. From my interview with Dan yesterday, to feed updates, personal opinion blogs (you want to write one, send a sample to me), Pictures, Video & More.

Don`t forget the Chat Board. Go sign up to chat with other BBCanada Fans, where no matter who you like, or hate in the house, on the board, we treat everyone like family.
