Jillian WINS! Gary… Almost Wins! Topaz… EPIC FAIL!

Well, it was the most dramatic finale of Big Brother I can remember, all topped off by a mis-vote and the most gracious non-winner EVER. Gary choosing Jillian over Emmett to go in to the final 2 with was a shock enough, even for him, I think. It would have been a good move, if an overly-enthusiastic and ‘blinded by the lights’ Topaz had voted properly. He took it all in stride, and when Jill tried to argue that Gary deserved the win as Arissa was congratulating her, I am told he just shook his head and told her to enjoy the moment.

I’ve been hearing a lot of speculation that Topaz’s vote was deliberate and really, I don’t know, or care. But as someone who has been raised in a family of media, I can tell you Gary’s non-win could be a good thing. There’s nothing the public like more than an underdog -and he’s the underdog who was just backed over by a bus.

Now Topaz hasn’t surfaced on social media yet, and if she just genuinely needs time to prepare herself, good for her, however if she’s hiding, I’ll just say this to her and everyone who wants to poke her with something sharp and glittery: SHIT HAPPENS.

Deal with the Humps. Embrace the Jumps, and get on with what’s important. Living Life. [thank you Jason Mraz for the first part of that sentence]

Now to both Topaz and Gary (and Kat, Liza, AJ, Aneal anyone in the Toronto area), I love you all and wanna hang out sometime. As I’ve been saying all season… I wanna get drunk with Gary! It would be sosososo fun.

Anywho, my plan now is to do an entire season rewatch (when I have time) and write about what happened and why, I’m hoping to get a few houseguest reactions to the episodes, too. ::crosses fingers:: If not, oh well.

You’ll see me around twitter, I’m now @JKIronSTARtv branding myself and my fledgling production company (hence the time shortage). I’d love to hear from you, about anything and everything.

To the fans, and yes, even production: Thanks for the awesome first season of Big Brother Canada I can’t wait until season 2!

Peter OUT, Gary IN, Emmett HOH

So, Jillian succeeded in getting her target, Peter evicted this week and in the latest Chevrolet Power Shift, Canada voted Gary Glitter himself back in to the game. My hope of Peter staying and the Shield being reunited was dashed as soon as Peter didn’t win Veto, so Gary coming back is the next best thing. He’ll make everything infinitely more entertaining. Not to mention more glittery.

We left the houseguests during the pivotal HOH Competition, putting a BB Canada Puzzle together, and yet again the Power Couple took back-to-back HOH’s with Emmett pulling out another win.

It looks like the trio of Emmett, Gary and Jillian is back together, even though in the early hours of his HOH he told Gary he was going to put him up on the block. Andrew is slated to be the other nominee, and this weeks target. If he goes, I may cry. I have decided that I want to marry a man like Andrew, and am half in love with him.

Anyway, Emmian, or Jemmett, (whatever you want to call them) have now made a solid final 3 deal with Gary, throwing the East Coast Alliance down the drain…. Unless Andrew pulls out a Veto win. ::crosses fingers::

Though wouldn’t it be hilarious if Talla finally won something and used the Veto on Andrew, forcing Emmett to replace him with Jillian? Cue Evil Laugh.

Muahahahahahahaha!!

I’m Baaaack! Emmett Won POV and… stuff.

So, I’m alive and lotsa’ shit went down when I was sick. From pedicures and flip-outs (and make-outs – spin the bottle, anyone?), to double evictions and blindsides. Both Tom and Liza are gone – partying it up in TO with Kat and Aneal, and I’m sure, getting tanned. Both I liked, and I’ll admit the house is more boring without them. Sadly, it all came down to playing too hard, too fast. Tom did tend to play emotionally, stuck on Sue since she nominated him night one, and Liza… She talked too much to too many people. It was inevitable that stories would be compared, and she would suffer for it.

Now, for this week – We all saw Alec give HOH to Andrew in the double eviction HOH, and it turned out to be a smart move for him. Not only did he win HOH the next day, but he also got 10K and a video message from his mom in the deal. Andrew however got royally fucked. No letter, no pictures, no perks whatsoever. Really, BBC?? He did the work, but got nothing for it. Not. Cool.

Now Alec went from being a Have-Not for three weeks (poor boy) to the penthouse suite and holding the power. It`s nice to see him not starve.  He nominated Suzette and the reliable pawn AJ. On the block together yet again, Suzette knew her days were numbered if she didn’t win POV.

Alas, Emmett was playing against her, so she had no chance. Winning yet another competition, Emmett won Veto and decided to not use it. No surprise there. He had planned to go off on Suzette during the ceremony, so we’ll have to see if he did or not on the episode Wednesday. I hope he did. I need a good laugh.

Sick. Sorry.

Hi all, I’ve been sick for the past few days, exhausted. Writing more than 140 characters is impossible. I’ll be back to the blog hopefully tomorrow. Keep an eye on twitter for any ‘updates’ from me.

Gary Nominated Tom & Liza – Alec won POV

After a torturous 13+ hour feed block the feeds finally returned just after 10pm BBC time with lots being determined for the future of the game. Gary followed through with his plan to nominate the duo of Tom and Liza, with Liza being the cover of the ultimate eviction of Tom.

While the feeds were down they also played the much anticipated (read: inevitable) Canadian Curling Competition!!! ß (Imagine that in the resounding echoing voice in my head, stadium style) It was the much sought after Veto and Alec won the Power of the Weird-Looking Plastic V Thingy!! ß (That one, too)

The curling costumes were sparse (for the trim ladies, at least) and every houseguest had one. Rumor is they were all involved or even played, and the obvious ‘pairs’ were together. We all knew Gary, Liza and Tom would play; Liza fittingly chose Peter out of the magic bag, Jillian played (and is suspected of throwing the competition because of a bad throw of the stone) and Alec obviously played to win.

If you want to see all that went down on the feeds and some off, After Dark for last night started taping about half an hour before the feeds returned, so watch that. It opened with skin-to-skin contact of Peter and Liza. Just in case you were wondering.

What we didn’t see go down was Alec telling Tom he wasn’t willing to use the Veto on him. Tom, I’m sure, didn’t take it well; although he is still convinced the house will be keeping him over Liza come Thursday.

Sh!t Went Down. Gary is the new HOH. Emmett, a HN. What a Day…

Note from Jayde:

If you haven’t noticed, I blog like I talk. I ramble; I get distracted (but finish the thought, usually), am a bit random and may rant a little bit more than the average person. But as I just realized I could do that, I’m just going with the flow. It’s fun. I hope you enjoy the ride.

I have my own opinions, but I don’t mind if you don’t agree. We all love this crazy game called Big Brother and I plan to enjoy every moment of my countries first season with everybody. And I’m actually getting in to twitter. It’s awesome.

Let us begin….

Ladies and Gentlemen, hold on to your hats, ‘cause shit got real in the BB Canada house. Last night, Emmett fans were ecstatic at his win, but when fans, (Big Brother Canada Insider’s Brendan Cooney and his Mom) caught and tweeted (and retweeted) Emmet carrying at least one of his final balls in his hand, things escalated online quickly. After Emmet was caught yellow-ball handed, Twitter was set ablaze with #BBCAN, HOH and #EmmettCheated was trending in Canada.

Big Brother Canada soon sent out this short message:

Thanks to everyone for their comments about tonight’s HOH competition. We are looking in to this further and will have more information soon.”

Then in the morning – after Emmett got his HOH room, read his letter aloud (apparently, Mama Blois snuck in some game hints, and even said she loved Gary), drank his alcohol, ate some goodies and slept alone in the HOH bed – everything changed.

The Feeds were cut not soon after people were awake (I heard, specifically after Alec, thinking there were no repercussions of Emmett’s admitted cheating, said he would go in to every competition trying to find the most ways to cheat). BBC soon said the following:

Suzette Saved. Aneal Out. Emmett HOH (For Now?)

It was a busy night in the Big Brother Canada house and it all began with Tom sitting pretty, thinking his target would be evicted with a 10-0 vote. He obviously forgot to ‘Expect the Unexpected’ and Canada’s Power of Veto sure threw him for a loop.

Now, I’m not going to complain about Suzette’s angelic editing this week (only showing her one ‘redneck’ comment about Tom and tearful apology, not every other foul word against him) or the influence Canada has, when in Big Brother it’s usually only Production who interferes. So I’ll stick mostly to the facts.

Tom may be an asshole, but he was royally screwed over by Canada tonight. Which, apparently, was the goal. BRAVO CANADA! You succeeded in making Suzette feel loved and Tom feel fucked. Personally, I like Tom 10 times more than Suzette, whose falsely enthusiastic greetings, questions, exclamations and every single word grates on my eardrums through my headphones. Every. Time. She. Speaks.

Anywho, Canada used the Veto on her and she was all of a sudden safe. Toms face when it was announced was priceless, I’ll admit. I laughed so hard at it, it hurt. And it wasn’t a quick one; it was a lingering look of shock. I may watch it multiple times just for the sheer enjoyment.

AJ & Suzette on the Block… For Now.

So, AJ and Suzette are on the Block, and Canada has Veto power. Having to choose one to save (since we weren’t given the ‘Save Nobody’ option) it seems like Canada’s dislike of Tom is heavily influencing the vote.

I personally can’t stand Suzette’s overly excited voice in my headphones and didn’t vote to remove her from the Block. Tom’s reaction to her safety seems to be what Canada is aiming for so it’s looking likely that she’ll be saved by Canada – giving her the impression she’s loved by the country, when all they really want is to see Tom’s head explode.

The funny thing is if Tom hadn’t removed Gary from the Block, Canada would be voting in DROVES to save him, and Suzette would be going home tonight. But, no, he started to play emotionally and is instead most likely going to have to name somebody to replace his nemesis in the house. Sadly, it’s looking likely that he will nominate my personal favorite – Andrew.

Andrew is the oldest houseguest (38), slightly on the fringe of all the alliances and well-liked by almost everyone. In the early days of the feeds, he was considered the funniest person in the house, and hasn’t disappointed. His self-deprecating Newfie humor and baby-blues have won (at least, me) over, and I’m hoping if he does get named as the replacement nominee those will weigh in his favor for the rest of the house.

Who knows really what is going to go down in the house tomorrow, and sadly we won’t get to see the aftermath due to the not-live-ness. By the time the feeds come back on after the show the houseguests will have had time to cool off and recover from their shock. I am hoping that After Dark will catch some good moments we won’t be able to witness, but I’m not holding my breath.

What do you want to happen?

Tom Won HOH & Veto – Suzette & Gary Nominated… For Now

When Tom won Head of Household on Thursday night, he made his intentions clear. Put Gary and Suzette on the Block, make a deal with Suzette and send Gary out the door. Oh, how things can change in a Big Brother house.

Shit went down off camera; Suzette had an ‘outburst’ and apparently threatened Tom, insinuated abuse, among many other things. Beginning with Danielle’s shocking (to Sue) eviction, Tom winning HOH her general feelings overflowed in a not so nice way.

Cue Toms complete One-Eighty. Last night, before nominations Gary and Tom had a conversation in the HOH. They cleared the air between them; however Tom did inform Gary that he was putting him on the Block. He wanted to give Gary the chance to take himself off by winning POV, but also said that he would take him off the block himself if he won.

Well, Tom did win Veto today, and talk seems to indicate he will use the POV on Gary. In fact, yet another brainless person (in this case, AJ) offered himself up as a pawn. Because we all know how well that works out.

So, it looks like Gary Glitter is safe for another week, Suzette is the most likely to meet Arisa and AJ wants to be on the show enough to offer to go on the block. How fun.

Danielle Out & Tom Wins HOH

In a game where you live and die by your strategy (or lack thereof) the worst choice that can be made in Big Brother has claimed another victim. Yes, my dearies, yet another ‘Willing Pawn’ has bitten the dust. Danielle, in her Big Brother Obliviousness volunteered to be Jillian’s replacement nominee to get on better terms with her. After agreeing however, Danielle didn’t hesitate to go back to Gary and Suzette to bash Jillian and lay out her master plans – in front of Liza, no less. The idiocy actually astounds me.

Liza, being….herself, ran to Tom who turned to Emmett, who informed Jillian in the twisted game of telephone that is Big Brother. The tides quickly turned against Danielle and she was shocked when she was voted out by a vote of 8 – 3.

The HOH Competition was a standard Majority Rules; however there may have been foul play afoot. According to some of the boys talking in the kitchen after the feeds came on, Production failed to cover all reflective surfaces in the backyard. Meaning people could see what other people were answering – the basis of the entire competition. It explains what there was a five (or was it six or seven?) way tiebreaker.

In the end, Tom wrote down the highest number (without going over) and is now HOH. Though he’s not too popular, I have to admit he’s kinda growing on me. The power trip he’s already on is keeping it tamed, but he’s great to watch in the game.

Already in his HOH Suite when the feeds returned, it wasn’t long before he shared his plans. He’s choosing to not backdoor Gary after realizing if Gary won Veto, both he and another target of his would be safe. He’s settled on a Suzette/Gary nomination from the onset so he can guarantee one of his two major targets would go home. We’ll see how the noms fall when they happen, either tomorrow or Saturday.

Tomorrow however is the dreaded Have-Not Competition. Here’s to hoping that Talla, Peter or Alec don’t get a second straight week. Type ya later!
